National Read Across America Day

While everyone wants their children to learn to read on their own, shared reading is an important tool in developing oral language development. When oral language skills develop, reading comprehension increases as well. Kids learn new vocabulary, increase knowledge of grammar concepts, and learn to make new connections.  Our speech therapists at Therapediatrics Family Center have put together some quick tips on how to use shared reading strategies at home.
