Katie received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University.  She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).  She has 6 years of experience in the clinical and school settings working with children from ages 8 months to 18 years.

Katie has experience in diagnosis and treatment in the areas of expressive/receptive language, articulation and phonology, fluency, language processing, word retrieval/finding, social/pragmatic language, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).  She is passionate about working with children and families to promote social, emotional, and functional success across settings.  Her therapy approach is functional, dynamic, and specifically targeted to produce the highest outcome for each individual…but most of all, fun!  In her free time, Katie enjoys hanging out with her husband, friends and family (preferably on a boat) and singing karaoke!
