I understand that life is a never-ending series of events that can be chaotic, energizing, confusing, wonderful, horrible, and stressful, and we must work hard every day to create happiness despite it all. I do not expect everyone to open up and trust immediately, therefore we will go at whatever pace you feel most comfortable. I am dedicated to helping patients regain power in their lives and help those who want change in their life but are unsure if change is possible or how to create change towards betterment. Change is never easy, nor does it always happen quickly. I ask that my patients be open and willing to trust the therapeutic process and give it the time and effort that it is required to create the life you want.

I believe that therapy is more than just talking about your problems; it is also about gaining new insight, learning more about your mental health, identifying unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, and learning how to overcome setbacks. I firmly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, and that therapy is whatever you make of it. I will challenge you to self-reflect and practice the skills you learn in therapy outside of our sessions to ensure you attain the maximum benefit towards your goals. I am passionate about adapting my work to your individual needs and understand the importance of acknowledging external factors that may impact a person in their daily life.

I am experienced in helping patients questioning who they are and who they want to be, struggling with life transitions, difficulty letting go of the past, feeling alone or misunderstood, and not wanting to be defined by their mental health concerns. I do my best to “practice what I preach” and I truly understand how difficult it can be to create change in your life.

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and our four animals. I also enjoy reading, watching TV, exploring local events, and going hiking.
